Cross-country skiing

Our Hotel is quality approved cross-country hotel (Quality Criteria).

 

The approx. 250-km trail network of the Seefeld Olympic Region is available only a couple of hundred metres from our hotel. Trails of various levels of difficulty are accessible close by. For further information, please click this link:

  • Ski waxing facility (waxing bench, iron, wax-scraper, etc.)

  • Ski information corner including cross-country trail maps, list of hire shops, timetables for public transport, cross-country skiing magazines, etc.

Tobogganing

There are many tobogganing routes in the neighbourhood. They offer possibilities for combining a snack or meal in an alpine restaurant (Hütte) with the outdoor fun.

Two tobogganing routes are accessible on foot from our hotel:

  • the Rauthhütte route, altitude difference ca. 400 metres, climbing time 1-2 h
  • the Wettersteinhütte route, altitude difference ca. 600 metres, climbing time 2-2.5 h. 

Horse-carriage ride

Horse-carriage rides are available in both the summer and winter seasons in the beautiful Leutasch landscape. The carriage can take you for example to the alpine pasture restaurants in Gaistal.

Ski touring

The former downhill ski run of Rauthhütte is now used only for ski touring and tobogganing.

Downhill skiing and snowboarding

The nearest ski lift is only 3.5 km away. The ski slopes in Seefeld can be reached by car in 15 minutes and the large skiing centres of Axamer Lizum, Kühtai and Sölden in 35–60 minutes. 

Ice skating

There are two ice rinks:

  • 1 km away by Hubert’s Stüberl
  • 10 km away at the Sport and Congress Centre in Seefeld.

Hiking

Numerous hiking routes are accessible directly from the hotel, such as climbing to Hohe Munde, Gehrenspitze or Hochwanner and hiking in the Gaistal valley. St. James’s pilgrimage route passes by our hotel.

You can enjoy wonderful hikes in the spectacular mountain scenery even in winter, as 142 km of hiking routes are also maintained then. 

Mountain biking

There are many beautiful routes for mountain bikers, for example:

  • routes in the Gaistal valley
  • the Wetterstein tour (around Zugspitze)
  • routes to the source of the Isar river or along the Leutasch valley to Karwendel. 

Swimming and other aquatic pleasures

  • 3 lakes in the Mösern area (Lottensee, Möserersee, Wildmoossee)
  • the ”forest spa” Waldschwimmbad and lakeside spa Strandperle on the Wildsee lake in Seefeld
  • the Alpenbad spa in Leutasch, the Seefeld Sport and Congress Centre (Olympia Sport- und Kongresszentrum)
  • 2 lakes in the area of Mittenwald
